Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in a short-term local contract. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and medical offices. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing effective pain management strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine health status and care needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and medication administration.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures as required, including phlebotomy when necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Uphold medical terminology standards in documentation and communication with healthcare professionals.
Experience
- Previous experience in pain management and assisted living environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with nursing home operations is advantageous.
- Experience working with children is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and medical office practices is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour
